Advice seeking: First PT job, which field?

I am from Hong Kong. Since here has a severe shortage of PT, I have the option to sign a 2-year contract with a non-profit organization NOW, even though I'll only graduate in Dec 2012.

My partner is from the states. We may move to the states someday. If that really happens, will be in or after 2015.

My question is: which field in PT have better prospect in the states, especially in southern CA? I basically only have two choices, either 1)elderly (nursing home) , or 2)mentally handicapped (mainly severe grade)/Cerebral Palsy.
