Hi... I am planning to do Masters in Physical Therapy from any of Accredited institution in Canada. Can I do work in USA after that? Is Canadian Degree is accredited by CAPTE? What can be my options after completion of my studies in Canada? I really want to study in Canada as my relatives are there..if not can I take NPT licensing exam after my course completion to work in USA? Please reply and suggest whether going for Canadian Degree is ok for US or not??

Absolutely.
Matter of fact we are currently beginning advertising efforts in Canada for PTs interested in coming to work in the western Kentucky region. We would just have to sponsor your Visa if we made you an offer and you subsequently accepted, which is no big deal.

Thanks for your reply. I had my initial education in Biology in India. But i have seen some schools in Canada as they impart M.Sc Physical therapy to Canadian Citizens or PR only. Is there any school that provide this education to Indian students who are non PR or Canadian Citizen?

Hi. I am 29 years old and wanting to go back to school. Right now I am torn between a few career paths. I am looking into physical therapy or occupational therapy or nursing? What steers me away from PT and OT is the amt of schooling. I do feel like I would be good at PT though. I was wondering if anyone out there had any advice for me? I also thought about a physical therapy assistant. Any thoughts on that? How is the pay in all these fields? I hope someone can help me. thank you!!!

Hello all. I have the reverse question. I'm an American with 15 months left in PTA program at an accredited university here in Florida I would like to move to Toronto, Canada to work. Anyone who has looked this up or done the same know what I would have to do or where I should look or who I should contact?

Hi, I am in the same situation. I am in Canada, AB, but my family is in CA .I am thinking about PT in U of A. But most schools in California are DPT. So far my I found out that after Canadian PCE exam one has to evaluate their credentials: www.ptbc.ca.gov/applicants/credential.shtml
If the education is equivalent to US , than one can take the CA exam, and than work 9 month under PT supervision.
Have you find any additional info?
