I was wondering how 'taboo' tattoos are for the PTA. I dont have many but I dont like the idea of never being able to get more :) above the elbow etc, nothing excessive. Is this a big problem for anyone? Are you required to cover them up? I do know some people in the healthcare industry that have a decent amt of tattoos, and i know their scrubs don't hide all of them. Any insight is appreciated!

All companies I'm familiar with have required that they be covered.

The rehab manager where I just started working, in a SNF, has tattoos all over his forearms and he doesn't bother to cover them up, must not be required there.

It depends on the place. Our home health branch manager (female) has tats all over the place. I would suggest getting as many as you plan on getting where they can easily be covered up.
