Physician salaries vary by specialty - and the salary numbers shown at the top right ($65K national average) are totally off base.

Cardiovascular surgeons and neurosurgeons are usually at the top of the scale, making several hundred thousand a year. Pediatricians are at the low end, making just over $100k a year.
