I am a recruiter working with an Energy Company in Houston, TX. I have an opening for a Plant Engineer with around 5 years of experience. I have included the job description. If anyone is interested please let me know.

JOB TITLE: PLANT ENGINEER

1. Ideally looking for a Mechanical Engineer with process experience. Performs results engineering which includes participating in plant performance tests, analyzing operating data, developing operational plans and equipment recommendations to ensure safety and optimize performance and profitability.

2. Ensures facility compliance with all regulatory requirements. Prepares all required compliance reports for submittal to regulatory agencies for air emissions and wastewater discharge. Acts as primary point of contact to regulatory agencies. Schedules required compliance testing.

3. Prepares statistical reports for the EIA and FERC.

4. Works with plant Operations Manager to coordinate facility operations to ensure economic dispatch of facility is achieved to maximize revenues per power purchase agreements.

5. Develops contract specifications and bid packages as required. Involved in the design and installation of capitol improvement projects. Verifies design intent is achieved and conducts performance testing of all new and repaired equipment. Champions plant Management of Change process and manages required documentation.

6. Participates in the selection, administration and oversight of any plant contractors that are supporting plant engineering and design activities.

7. Maintains filing system for critical plant technical information, drawings, regulatory reports, and plant incident reports.

8. In cooperation with Operations Manager, maintains oversight of plant water chemistry program.

9. Develops, trains and assists plant personnel in quality control activities which are based on statistical monitoring, trending and various “root cause” resolution techniques.
