Do I have to mention my current position when I apply for the next position if I just started my current position?

I just started my current position last month, but I do not feel good about this. I want to leave. When I apply for a new job, do I have to mention my current position since this is just for a short time? I consulted my previous roommate. He said that if I mention my current they would not consider me. Is that true? Is it appropriate for me not to mention my current position? Thank you.
