I think principal positions are the same as always in terms of hiring but the BIG difference today is the age of those that are being hired. Today they are much younger with less credentials and with less experience. I have more leadership experience and more credentials and recently I got overlooked for a 33 year old. This is a slap in the face for all the hard work that I have done and for the degrees that I have achieved. Experience is worth a lot and school districts are ignoring that fact.
