When a person becomes an oil refinery process technician/operator, do they have to stay clean shaven for the rest of their career and is there a lot of room for advancement if a person already has a bachelor's and a master's degree both in business?

Yes you have to stay clean shaven. The reason is you have to wear an Air Pack in case you're caught in a fume type release. You can wear a mustache, but thats about it. Yes there is advancement with more Education ,but it also depends on your company.
