Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming process technician interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

All of your answers will need to be specific examples of your past experiences and could include some of the following:
1. A time when you witnessed someone performing an unsafe act and how you handled it.
2. You might be asked to site and example of when you made a poor decision that looking back on it you would have done differently.
3. Give an example of a time when you were confronted with a conflict or dispute and how you resolved it.
4. Give an example of a time when you were part of team on a project.
5. You may be asked about some basic operating troubleshooting skills that illustrate a time when you had a problem and how you resolved it.
6. You could be asked about your experience using DCS controls or other software systems used in plants today.
7. Site an example of when you went above and beyond the call of duty to help someone out or to complete a project.
8. Research the company so you'll be able to answer questions about the products they produce or key awards they may have won (Safety or Environmental). You may not be asked but it's good to have that info ready.
9. End the interview by expressing why you would be an asset to company.

I heard that plants give exams that will determine if hired or not; What kind of exams do they give?
