Twenty five years of wood procurement experience in the southern and midsouth US. This industry is in the tank the worst I have ever seen. I have been doing some consulting to help pay bills but even this is tight. I have applied to at least 40 jobs in the last year even though qualified I am told reportedly that you have great experience but do not have the right degree. Locally I am told that I am overqualified for the position. Does anyone have suggestions on how to change industries and get a foot in the door. My network is shrinking with friends calling me letting me know they are looking for work.
