Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

Yes, some companies pay more than others. It depends on your level of experience and your focus. You have to remember that each company is different. One may offer a lower salary but a better benefits package and vice versa so there is no definite way to tell. Also, it depends on your location. An entry level project engineer may start out at $45k in Mississippi and $60 in Nevada. A sure plus is to obtain your Professional Engineers (PE) Liscense when eligible. Any additional certifications are a big plus and help in pay...plus the more education that you have ex: Master's and PhD. It also makes you more competitive when applying for various positions. |
