Well, first you apply to a college (preferably junior because junior is easier than a university). Start with the basic core classes. Then get on the Internet and search for what are the educational requirements to get a license as a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is considered a doctor (M.D.) so some kind of medical training. A main requirement is to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in something leading to a medical program. From that Bachelor's degree you will go onto another program, either a medical degree or a Master's. (You need to do some Internet research). |

first you apply to a college (preferably university) then obtain a degree and requirements to enter to a medical school. after graduation of medical school (M.D.) you need to apply to a residency program in psychiatry (speciality) that is 4 years of training. after that you can became a psychiatrist. Psychiatrist are medical doctors like internal medicine, pediatry, the diffence is in the speciality that you choose, in this case psychiatry. |
