What is the best training for becoming a purchasing clerk? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective purchasing clerk?

With little experience and no specific training/licence for a purchasing clerk, what specific training do i need to be purchasing agent/buyer making the money i deserve to make.

With little experience and no training, to become a Buyer or a Purchasing personel, you will need at least 2 yrs BA degree, and some accounting and know excel, so you can forecast trend in daily supplies, and forecast for futures supplies and demands. CPM and APICS would be better certification if you do not have a degree,but have at least 3 yrs experience. Black Belt or Green will be a plus also. Hope this help and good luck.
