When I got into Purchasing I enjoyed the people contact and interviewing of sales reps. It was like a centre for continuous learning.
Today with computers and the government Competitive bid process it is all done on paper with very little people contact and no interviewing of reps.

What kept my interest was I took on contract positions because like people they are not all the same but the rules and teachings of purchasing made me succeed every time.
