Are there any schools or courses you can take to become a special procedures tech or is it only with on-the-job training?

I see more jobs for this specialty than a regular rad tech so I'm wondering how you can specialize in that, considering that I can't find a job at a hospital, or given a job for that matter.

What other modalities can a rad tech get into besides the usual MRI, CT, Mammo? What are the requirements for a radiation therapist if I am already registered with the ARRT? I've also seen the credentials QM, quality management? How do you get that? Lots of questions but I want to move forward while trying to stay in the same field.
