Hi,

I am considering applying for the real estate license. I read that i need to be a legal resident in the USA to do that. I am currently on H1B visa, which is a legal status. Does this suffice in order to obtain my real estate agent license?

I myself is considering getting my RE license. I am a permanent resident here in the US. Concerning your H1B Visa, it maybe best to call the right authority than getting an opinion from someone who is not quite familiar with legalities ( myself included ).

As far as the market is down, a fifth grader can decipher it. My thinking is like the stock market thing : buy low , sell high. In getting a license, get one when everyone ( including lincensed agents ) is running away from it. The market will turn, just don't know when, and if it does and you are licensed, you will be in a better position than those who are just getting one at that given time.

Just my 2 cents.

Aloha,

Walter
