For years I worked as an admin in a big company where people took their own calls with few exceptions and few "outside" callers. Now I have an encore career as a receptionist at an Ad agency & we're beseiged by vendor calls daily! Even after 8 weeks on the job, saying all the right things, these guys still slip through! I don't want to be the Spanish Inquisition on the phone in case it's a client, but GEEZ! Enough with these sneaky sales people making a monkey out of me! Any tips for a reception "rookie"?
