Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most Regulatory Affairs Manager opportunities?

Export compliance positions are in high demand now since the US government is now enforcing export laws and regulations.
Anyone who exports (sells globally) needs to have an a person within their organization or a consultant, depending on the size of their company, who implements export compliance regulations with each export transaction.

Most places east and west coast - high technology industry is more aware of the regulations than other states.

If you do not have a greencard, then a company with controlled technology may need to obtain an export license before you work for them. Depending on what area within a company you may work in. (e.g. IT position, contracts, engineering)
