What are typical research assistant salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

I think for someone with strong record of publications and 3-5 years of experience average it's 38-40 K. Unless you start working for a private sector company, it's 40-45 for an entry level. It's really not that much money and you have to like it to do it. If you think of it , it's fare considering how little post-docs make (around 38-43 K by NIH standards).

Where did you get your job at RA if you don't mind me asking? I'm a recent grad with a biology degree living in Columbus. I've been trying to get a job in research for the past 5 months with no luck. Thanks. |
