I am a licensed real estate appraiser and there is no one hiring. The company I was working for is struggling just to do ten appraisals a month. Its bad here in nor cal.

This is the same all over the country! I have been looking for work in the appraisal industry for the past year. I don't think it is going to get any better until mid 2009 or 2010.

I have been appraising since 1991, as a staff appraiser at banks, and as an independent fee appraiser. This is the worst I have ever seen it. I don't see it getting better until the economy gets fixed and the banks get under control.
