What is the best training for becoming a restaurant worker? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective restaurant worker?

What do non-traditional career paths look like?

I second what Elisa said, but, I will also add 'must be able to occasionally accept verbal abuse from insecure bottom-feeders who have the innate need to feel superior to someone. :-)

First thing that customer should see is smilling face and friendly that will bring them back to the business. Second, all the area of service must be clean and neat for customer safety.Third, responsible on theirs (staff)duty and respond quickly what they (customer)need.Work as a team, helping each other when other staff or customer need help. The server should thanks them and welcome back before customer leave with smilling face no matter how busy you are. Good services and good attitudes will bring them back to the business again.
