Many things.

1. Firstly you need to be about others first. Motivate your employees, earn their trust and devotion, and lead by example.

2. Experience and education are the only real certifications you need.

3. Business first and do your best. Don't be afraid to work overtime to get the job done.

4. Train your manager below you. Nothing like management that doesnt need the manager.

5. Lastly remember your job is to enforce policy not create it.
