Trust me.. Ignore all of these chumps who are making fun of your spelling error.. District managers wont be reading your interview questions... They want to get to know you and they want to know that you understand business. Operations is huge on their list... They want to know that you understand what it takes to be compliant in operations, whether it is with new hire paperwork or filling out the bank deposit log... Most stores I have walked into have MAJOR problems with communication. Make sure to talk yourself up as a great communicator with DM's... They eat this stuff up, but be prepared to give examples. Be prepared to tell them how you will motivate and inspire your team. How will you find, recruit and retain talent within your store and for other stores in your district? Managing payroll is another big question... and of course Time-Management... Setting Expectations. These are all very basic tasks for a store manager. As long as you are very confident and know you can do the job and can speak to these things... You will get the job... If you can find out the store specific problems during the interview and nail the questions there.. you basically have the job... I usually flat out ask or hint at it to find out the store specific problems... I will say something like " I am not familiar with this specific store's needs..."
