1) as soon as the customer walks in - greet them
2) always ask the customer whether he requires any help
3) we have a coffee shop in a retail outlet - so if a customer has spent quality time and money the first time -offer some free coffee
4) if a customer requires help with his trolly -offer it
5) played soothing relaxing music on the intercom
6) porper signage all around
7) new free trolley all around
8) follow up once the delivery is done

ROLE-PLAYING... You have to constantly role-play with your associates... After all, they are the "BRAND" to the customer... They must be comfortable in different situations, but mostly with product knowledge. They best thing they can do is listen to the customer and know how to respond to the customers needs.
