What do you enjoy most about being a route sales representative? What do you dislike the most? Is it challenging? Are there many opportunities to learn and advance? What keeps you at your job? |

I work a large route and i enjoy an above average commission check. the downside of Frito-Lay is that they have not increased the base pay for five years and turn a deaf ear when the subject is brought up (many times). I am reasonably happy with my choice of careers, but understand that this is not for everyone. The 4am start time can get very old. I am trying to get hired at frito lay for a route sales rep position. I have passd my testing at the office, and now I am just waiting for my background check to come back,it has ben about two and a half weeks, and I havent heard anything, But I dont have any bad stuff in my background , so I'm just going to be patient. What were the steps for you when you got hired, and how long did it take to be hired? |

I work for nestle waters/deer park. The pay is fair and the workload is crazy. There formula is maximize their employee workload and then try to push the limit. luckily for me i have high self esteem and i'm not itimidated by these weak higher ups. For a new guy it's not worth the money. But i've been there a while and we are hourly and the vets like me get paid well. |

Route Sales is a great job if you like being out in the cold, and driving in all kind of weather. You have freedom and it is like owing your own business. The only thing I dislike are the managers of the grocery stores, they can be really nasty. |

I heard that they got rid of the money even for small convenience stores |
