Job Title: SAS Developer
Location: Berkeley, CA
Duration: 6 month contract

Job Description:
This position is in the Equity Data Development team and updates processes and data
delivery processes to client application software.
YOUR WORK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure the completeness and correctness of the data.
• Write new code and support existing code to gather financial data and deliver data to software applications and text file clients.
• Work closely with other groups within the company including Research, Product/Project Management, Application Development, and Data Content and Production.
• Write project design and requirement specifications, track your projects and integrate them with those in other groups.
REQUIRED NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Very strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Individuals should be dynamic, motivated and able to perform independent work as well as manage tasks on multiple-projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Experience working with financial data.
• Strong interest in finance/investments
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
• Degree in mathematics/statistics, engineering, economics or equivalent
• 5 years of previous programming experience in the finance or investment industries
• 5 years of SAS programming experience including familiarity with Base SAS and the MACRO language
• 1-3 years programming experience in any commercial database system (SYBASE, ORACLE, MS-SQL).
• 1-3 years of programming experience using Perl
• Experience with UNIX Shells and Java desirable
• Excellent analytical & problem solving skills
