What are typical safety manager salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

With a degree top monies are around 70 to 120 k.. You can also have certification which can keep you in the 60 to 90 k area. But you must be diverse regarding all areas from food to sheet metal with a certificate.
