Here is situation, A manager of the company decided to reward another department in another branch of company for helping on big project. He talked upper management to fund the nights event. Planned, Organized,Invited and Hosted the event. Inclued his Supervisor to attend and help host.
The next day before the Manager who was resposible for event
could reporton success or Thank upper management for allowing it. The supervisor decided to send a Thank you e-mail to upper management thanking and responding like he was in charge of whole event and department. what is proper protocol? and how should manager handle the situation.
