How did you get your start doing secretary work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

I was given a break because I had no experience. The guy took a chance and it worked. I proved myself to be a good employee. To get into the legal field I applied for a job at this law firm and after 3 months they called me in and hired me. I worked there for 5 years and when they almost went bankrupt I decided it was time for me to move on. I went to a bigger law firm, made more money, had more responsibility and found that is where I needed to be.
