If I'm a canadian applying for a security guard license, will they be able to discover my arrest/conviction in the US?

I want to apply for a security guard license in Canada. I have no criminal background here but if the registrar does a criminal background check, will my arrest/conviction from 11 years ago show up?? On the registration it asks for any criminal history in any other jurisdiction/country other than Canada. Do I need to admit to this? Will they discover the truth if I claim that there is no criminal history in any country (including canada)??

Any help would be great appreciated!!
