Security Training in Orange County, California

I heard that you can take the required training course online but are these online training courses approved by the State of California? What is the average cost to get this training done and where is the best place to go to get the training done? I'm also interested in getting my Exposed Firearms permit how much do those courses run and where do I go? Any help I can get in figuring out the answers will be appreciated, thank you.

There are several State Licensed Training Centers that provide training either online or both. As long as they are State licensed by the BSIS (Bureau of Security and Investigative Services) you're good to go. State licenses can be verified at the BSIS website www.bsis.ca.gov I work for the National Security Enforcement Training Center www.nsetc.com and they offer the courses online and in-person. The Cost varies but I can guarantee you that NSETC is the most affordable solution. The cost is $49.99 for the guard course, $51 for the fingerprints and last of all the State Application/Permit fee of $50 so when it all said and done your looking at spending around $151. As for the best place I have to say that all state licensed facilities are the same because they all have the same state provided training material the only thing that varies is the price. The exposed firearms permit course is $60 dollars when you mention this posting on indeed.com. You will still have to pay the $89 fingerprint fee and the $ 80 state fee. Hope this response helps. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and best of luck pursuing a new career in private security.
