Would Firefighter experience that was left due to health reasons help or hurt a resumé?

My boyfriend trained to be a forest firefighter and went a total of 2 years down that career path. However, he had a hard time staying hydrated under the conditions and had to leave it.

Since then, he got into security and has worked as a guard for several companies over the years. He's currently looking for a new job and has been sending his resumé out with no bites.

I found out he has intentionally been leaving his firefighter experience off his resumé for fear that employers would hold his dehydration weakness against him.
I think that putting the firefighter experience on his resumé would help him, especially since the work environments are so different and dehydration has never gotten in his way while working security.

I was hoping to get some advice about this from people who are in the industry.

Thank you!
