Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

What skills should you learn to increase your salary?

Companies pay as little as they think they can get away with. It is hard for them to keep up with the rates that overseas companies are getting paid for the same garment. between taxes, insurance, unemployment and the high costs of materials, which are all a great deal more here than in third world countries. They can get paid pennies on the dollar for the same work.
In Maine I got from 10.00 to 18.00 per hour, But a few years ago a company out of state said they would pay me 45.00 an hour if I was willing to relocate there.
They had a very well known designer they worked for, that said, I would say that it varies from state to state and company to company.
From about $9.00-$??.?? Its not fair but that is how it is. Perhaps President Obama can work on bringing some of our factory jobs back to the United States where they belong????
