i have tried everything i know to find a sheet metal shop job in the washington baltimore area and still have not been able to find one yet

Check out www.smwlocal100.com/ SMW Local 100 I beleive that would be the best place to start. My husband has been in the local for 10yrs. Excellent pay/benifits if you u join. Good luck

You would best to try (Navy) or other private ship yards, I know NASCO in San Diego is always looking for ship fitters and welders Training is available while you learn the trade if needed...Jim (etcjrc@cox.net)

Make sure that you have updated contact information with the various contracting firms that work in your area or in your field. This takes little time and then those firms can alert you when positions become available.
