...common sense, compassion and work outside of the box meaning sometimes you have to go against the staus quo. A lot of these social service organizations, just don't get it. I have found there are people running these place with a dis-eased ego... |

The top three skills a social worker should have are being knowledgeable of various resources, excellent listening skills, and good analytical and critical thinking skills. |

I agree with the comments made by Karen and Fred. I have many negative aspects of a case manager,one is being overworked, by supervisiors who has inflated egos. I recently, three months ago, experience strees overload, and was hospitalized. The mangement appeared not to care. I did not receive a "how are you doing" phone call. Most of these people are not compassionate, to be in a job where compassion is one of the required skills. |
