I would think you'll most likely want to start doing some networking within your area. A good place to start is by doing a job search and seeing who is hiring. You may also want to consider joining networking sites like LinkedIn and Ryze. All you have to do is create a profile and you're ready to network. It's a great way to meet new people in the industry.

Here is a search for Social Workers in Atlanta, GA:
www.indeed.com/jobs?q=Social+Worker&l=Atlanta%2C+GA

You can get some great background information from this search. Take a look at the lefthand refinement margin. This shows you the most popular job titles, companies and locations related to your search. Also, click on the "more actions" link located on the last line of each job listing. There you will find some great background information related to that specific job listing, including direct network links to your profile on LinkedIn and Ryze.

thejobsite.org is a great place to start for social work jobs in Georgia. Upload your resume and you can submit it to several counties at once. You can also locate your local DFCS office and drop off a state application.

Looking to relocate to the Atlanta area. My family is living there now........Any ideas how to locate work as a social worker for state or county goverment agency. I have a BSW and about 15 yrs experience working in child welfare/child protection. Any ideas would be welcomed.
