1. Know risk assessment/signs of abuse,neglect inside and out.

2. Know how to work with a family to develop a plan.

3. Be able to articulate what interviewilng skills are necessary when working with families we serve.

4. Know how to prioritize multiple tasks that include crisis, telephone msgs, immediates tasks assigned by your boss, personal dr appts, etc.

5. Be able to articulate your understanding of how culture impacts our work with families re abuse/neglect/prevention/
intervention/reunification, etc.

I am looking for employment in the Dallas area. I am experienced with social work models but the specialized areas like D/V and Mental Health are looking for LCSW's or want entry level LMSW's. I am in the middle, working toward getting the LCSW. Any suggestions with interview tips for jobs in these areas? Thanks, Josie

At age 52, I found interview process to be quite difficult with organized written questions that 3 staff SW's wrote your answers to..quite stressful!
Questions were varied from public service intervention to PS and I don't even rembr all of the questions.I'm ready to launce a consultant career as a result. Good Luck !
