I received a BA in psychology in '91 and am license
eligible for social work. Fast forward several years, I
currently plan on studying for my social work license. My
professional background has been in healthcare business but
have been out of the workforce as a stay at home mom since
2003. During that time and currently, I volunteer a lot at
my children's elementary school in Ohio - tutoring through
the guidance counseling intervention program, classroom
parent representative and organizing several school
functions. I would like to seek out a part-time career in behavior/counseling/child/family/school. I am looking into pursuing an online graduate certificate to supplement my education and experience. My options are: Behavioral Science through Anderson University, Professional Counseling through Capella University or Child/Adolescent Psychology through Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Is this something I should be pursuing and will it increase my chances of
obtaining my career objective? Please advise - thanks!!
