That is the only one I find as well. I am looking into sonography as well. I live north of Denver and am thinking about going to LCCC in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The tuition is cheap and it is not too terrible to get into the program. They are in the process of being accredited. I believe RRCC requires a two year degree in a medical related field to get into the program. Good luck. |

I am currently enrolled in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program of Denver and I highly suggest looking at this school. It is a one year program that requires that you have a bachelor's degree or be a RT. It is somewhat difficult to get into because of the large number of people applying, but it is the only accredited program in Colorado. Tuition is inexpensive ($3000 for the entire year) but you cannot work during the program- too intense. From what I hear from students in other programs, I would highly suggest learning all you can about the clinical sites, as some programs expect you to find your own or send you to sites that are far away (WY) or see a low number of patients. If you can. I would contact former students to see how prepared they were when leaving the program. If you want to learn more about the Denver program, here is the website: www.uchsc.edu/radiology/us/index.htm |
