LOOKING FOR RADIOGRAPHER SONOGRAPHER

Hi I'm an italian student of tecnician radiology. I'm at the last year (third) and I would like know why the american tecnician can do the ecographic examination and the italian no. More, I would like know if the american tecnicians sonographer can do alone the first level of screening (e.g. carotid desease, hepatomegaly) and if he is allowed to send the patient to the second level of screening (phisician) or back home (negative response).

We leagaly do not do anything but take pictures and evaluate for the purpose of taking pictures of possible disease issues. We never send a patient home of diagnos them in any way. The TEE is done by a physician we can only operate the machine i.e store pictures put on the color hit the PW button.
