I have been steadily working as a Freelance Interpreter for about 3 years now and love the flexibility. I was offered a job with the Board of Ed for a Psych. Eval. and would like to take it as an independent interpreter and not through any of the agencies I work with. Can anyone tell me if I can just bill them or do I need to be LLC or/and have a tax id before I can do this?

I don't know about CON, but in CA a tax id is needed.
