How did you get your start doing spanish teacher work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position? Do you need a particular educational background? |

Host said: How did you get your start doing spanish teacher work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position? I started out majoring in Spanish in college. I started tutoring on the side for the Buddy System. Then I taught in an afterschool Spanish program for elementary students with IES Language Foundation. Then I was ready to become a teacher so I got my teaching credential, completed an internship then, applied for a job. BUT, now after three years I want to switch careers and already feel burnt out. I've spent so much time, money, and dedication to this. They say only half make it to 5 years. I was hoping that wasn't me. I think about giving it another try but, would rather do something else related. I miss the money. You just have to work soooo hard for it!!!! |
