I have been offered a special ed teaching position in a private school. What is a reasonable salary? They do not offer health care. Also, I am not a certified teacher, but I have a masters in psychology and some teaching experience.

The local districts pay about $40k per school year no experience, certified or uncertified with Temp Auth to Teach(TAT) restrictions apply to TAT, district has to hire certified personnel if available. TAT is at risk of one year only. There is alt cert available for people with BS or BA and 2.5 GPA, costs about $3k and takes all summer plus one to three school years
