Hi! I am trying to find a job in the event coordinating or public relations field within the Phoenix area. I am college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications: Public Relations. I am looking for an entry-level job. I have worked at Target for six years while attending school, but I have no experience in the events/public relations field.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I started my career in events by being an office add for an event marketing company. Another venue would be hospitality, but that is a different breed of events. Just know that the event industry is hard to break in to, doesn't pay that much, and you work yyour butt off. But, for the right job, it is totally worth it!
