Sharing tips while being unsuccessful at landing a positon is alittle like a marrage family therapist sharing advice while going through a divorce!
However, being unemployed now 4 weeks I have the feeling that the construction custom home market, my forte, has been saturated by all of the management people laid off from the production housing market which has lowered the pay scale. Staying away from stating a desired salary and leaving it negotiable may be well advised.Being 59 years young, I try to discuse how this experience brings time tested methods, and the ability to teach others.Something else,a few years ago I started up grading my computer skills. By taking advantage of night schools and 3 day courses has allowed me to post on my resume, microsoft word, excel,and Projects as additional tools.
Hope some of these comments are helpful and will look forward to any replys that might help me land the next job available.
