Hi..i wanted to know opinions on

1) which is a good Surgical assistant program?
2) how is the job market now for surgical assistants esp. in texas?

I'm still researching, but opinions would be great before I make a final decision. Thank you so much.

The best SA program is through EVMS, no other programs in the country compare to the education you will receive there

I went through ACESA. Curriculum is mainly online as distance learning, one week of lab for suturing classes, then everything else is on your own- doing your 135 cases with your own docs and at your own hospital. Surgical Assisting is growing in Texas, I'm in San Antonio, from what I can tell... it's becoming a 'need' per se so the hospitals and physicians are very aware of our roles in the OR so its a good time to do it.
