Is there steady work for surgical techs?
I was recently treated at a large hospital ER Walk-In Clinic.
The nurse’s tech who put a splint on me said the reason he didn’t pursue a surgical tech career is because there wasn’t enough work. He said “if there are no surgeries scheduled then there’s no work.”
I would think at a large hospital, there would be surgeries going on everyday.
If anyone knows what the nurse’s tech comment is about, please let me know and elaborate more on what he means.
