I'm very interested in applying to a surgical technician program, however, I am an adult, non-traditional student and I must work full-time to pay my mortgage and bills. I'm single with no children, so I don't have a spouse to lean on and don't qualify for many of the education benefits of a single parent.
My concern would be that I would be unable to maintain the class schedule and externships, specifically.
Has anyone else been in my situation or similar and found a way to work through it?
I very much would like to get out of the field I'm in now and be able to earn a decent living, and surgery tech holds a very real interest for me.
Thanks in advance for any answers.
