I don’t know if I am the right person for advices, I just started the ST program (July 2011).
I can tell you that there is a lot to study and to learn. Not sure where you go to school, but my program is about 13 months long, it is fast paced and you better keep up with everything happening in class, if not it will be hard to catch up.
I do always carry with me a recorder so I can tape lectures / mock surgeries; to me it is just easier to go over and over again the material.
At times I go on you tube if I need help on my anatomy classes (I have a visual memory).
If you have time to read ahead of time material you will have lecture on in class, it does help.
My best advice is just study and make a commitment to yourself to do the best you can, it is just a short period of time (compared to people that go to school for years). Good luck :)
