I agree, I used to live in FL. SBI is the worst. make sure you do your homework, go to www.caahep.org to find a school in your area and talk to the actual person in charge of each program and call the hospitals for advise, NOT the salesperson in admissions.

Every school thinks they are the best. Just do what I did. I called local hospitals & asked people I knew that was either working at a local hospital or knew someone who was. You can also get a pretty good idea if you ask the school the job placement rate for that program.

Was very disappointed with Ulster County BOCES Lake Katrine Surgical Technology Program. Class began on 9/12/2011 and the text books didn't arrive until 09/26/2011. I did end up withdrawing from the program, going to see what I can do far as negotiating a refund of sort. After all, Students are required to pay the first installment of tuition before they can begin class, and the school obviously wasn't prepared, so I think I have a solid case.
